technically:
using the applied sciences as a reference to
the specifics of sciences. Used in this inspection report
"technically" usually refers to a situation that while
realistically may be functioning satisfactorily is technically not proper
according to building codes. In cases such as this clients must use their own
discretion with respect to remedial actions.
temperature:
the degree of hot or cold
tempered:
having a desired specified temper, being of
some treatment such as glass; to make stronger
terra
cotta: material of "baked earth"; a hard
baked, glazed or unglazed ceramic material used
architecturally as a decorative surface for facings and tiles and may be used as
foundation materials in older buildings
terrazzo:
a flooring made by embedding small pieces of
marble or granite into cement and polishing to a high gloss
therm:
a measure of heat equal to one hundred
thousand British Thermal Units (BTU's)
threshold:
a strip of material used over a door sill to
close the gap between the door and sill
townhouses:
(see row houses) a method of construction of
individual houses with common side walls and a common
roof--also called townhouses
toxic:
not fit for human consumption; poisonous
